Hi there!  Would anyone know anything about the Bells in the Seapatrick area of Co.Down. Particularly a Richard Bell who married Mary Murray in the 1800s ?

Just in case you are still looking for this info.

Thomas John Bell is the right one, born 24 Oct 1868 in Ireland, he married Catherine Steele in Scotland. His parents were Richard Bell (1) and Mary Murray both of who were deceased by the time John married Catherine in 1894.

The parents of Mary Murray were Thomas Murray and Anne (possibly Anne Neal, but this hasn't been verified yet), in Ireland (Co. Down).
The parents of Richard Bell (1) were Richard Bell (2) and Elizabeth Cowen, also Ireland (Co. Down).

The parents of Richard Bell (2) were John Bell and Mary Kennedy, again Ireland in Co Down.

Hope this helps.

Sharon Bell  :)

Hi there Sharon,
Thank you! Thank you! very much for replying to my post.  I do not get much time to check posts on this site, :) or for that matter, on any other site that I have posted on, because I am a carer for my wife which is 24/7. She Has ME and a Host of other resulting medical problems.
I do appreciate the information which you have posted to me.
I see you are a Bell also, are you researching the family tree?
I have no children so my line will stop when I pass on. I am interested to find out how far I can go back in time with the relatives.
            Kindest Regards,
                                      Terry

Hi Terry,

Happy to help  :)  Yes I am researching the family tree too. You and my husband share the same ancestors. Your father John is the younger brother of my husband's grandfather, Samuel. I'm not sure how far you have got with the search for the family in Ireland but I have more info I'm happy to pass on. Dates, extracts & copies of marriage registrations & birth registrations etc. I'm not sure exactly how to email or message you privately from here but I will try and work it out to pass on my email address and I can email you what I have so far.

Regards,
Sharon
