John Hepworth was a noted surgeon and is on my family tree.  Yes he was bankrupt but there were many tragedies within his family and I am sure this is what led to that situation.  His first wife died and he was left with young children, then he remarried and had more children,. I can't find a Charles Hepworth and I have access to a number of Hepworth family trees and i can't find a Charles Hepworth.  I will try and collect as much information for you over the next two or three days and pass that on to you.

check ancestry 1881 census, you will find john doughty, his wife, charles and clara and another child on it

john dought hepworth was the grandfather of harold myers hepworth, the partner of my grandmother beatrice barlow, i have a huge collection of his effects from his confirmation book, christening glass--- gold topped walking stick etc and a very large collection of photos

john doughty hepworth was my g g grandfather.  his son henry was my g grandfather and henry's daughter alice was my grandmother.   I would be very interested to see photos as I have none and have been researching him for years.

I have recently started my family tree on Ancestry and have gone from my nan Charlotte Hepworth back to her Great Grandfather John Doughty Hepworth, I am struggling to go any further back than this, if anyone out there can help please..
