Michael TASKER
« on: Saturday 07 August 10 12:55 BST (UK) »
I have one marriage gap that i am stuggling with.
Michael Tasker marriage in poss All Cannings Wilts around 1770 to 1772 ish  :)

Michael Tasker b. 1750, baptised 29 Apr 1750 All Cannings Wiltshire (IGI), parents John b. 1717 and Gratian nee Green. Michael was the 4th of 6 children.

However, unsure of who Michael married. A son Stephen was born 1771/1772 as bap 7 Jan 1772 All Cannings. But as far as I know this is an only child. Don't know if mother died soon after child birth?

Everything seems to be happening in All Cannings so assume that's where married.

Thank you for your time

Ah, that is making alot of sense to something that I've just found, think Betty Rivers previously married to Thomas Rivers, married 2 Mar 1754 Stanton St Bernard to Elizabeth Saintsbury. Seems Thomas b. 1730 died in 1768, so that would fit for her to marry again.

If this so, then Elizabeth Saintsbury, not sure yet of her age, seemed an older lady than her 2nd husband as Michael was b. 1750, she was and older lady, this may explain the only one child mentioned earlier.

Hi...I,too, am looking for more info on Michael Tasker. I am his gr gr granddaughter. His son, Sidney Herbert married Sarah Jane Perrett who had a daughter, Lillian Valerie M Tasker who had a daughter, Marion, who was my mom. I have a tree on Ancestry.ca that you can take a look at if you want...my mom is listed as Marion Bennett. I am having some difficulty tracing Micahel and his family. If you have any more info you can share, I would love it!
Thanks and have a great day!
Marla

Hi,
I am following down through from Michael Tasker and Elizabeth Saintsbury (1st m. Thomas Rivers) through their son Stephen b. 1772 who m. Grace Pottenger - 7 issue. Then follow this line down about 6 generations to present day. Going back from Michael - he was the 4th of 6 issue, then I have 3 generations back from this line to Thomas Tasker in circa 1658.

But I will look now on Ancestry and see if I can find your tree, and send you a message, maybe we can link???

Good morning! Thanks for replying to my message. Are we related to each other? I have yet to find any living relatives but have had other people send me info. My tree is named SMITH FAMILY TREE if you want to go look at it. And like I said my mom was MARION BENNETT . Looking forward to hearing from you again.
Sincerely,
Marla
