Have just joined the chat group. My family name is Haines. I have a family tree that begins with Robert (b 1635 Kings Sutton) who married Louisa ? around 1737. Details are sketchy!
It says on my copy that Robert is probably related to John Haines who married Mary. I have no direct connection between the Robert on my tree and John and would love to bridge the gap.
The John Haines I refer to was the churchwarden of St James Parish in London and died 10/1/1690. Is this the same person and do you have any info that might link these 2 Haines men?
thanks.

Hi there,

It looks as if somewhere we might have an ancestor in common.  I have some Haines/Haynes Kings Sutton wills  with Roberts mentioned in them.   The ones I'm related to seem to have gone to Banbury rather than London  and were Quakers.    The nearest Robert Haynes I can find immediately was born 1646 in Kings Sutton and married Elizabeth Tustin and the Elizabeth Betts 1676 Hinton in the Hedges.  Some of his brothers live in Banbury and he is a "kinsman" to my relative Richard Haynes who died in Banbury in 1701.
Let's swap familty trees and see if we can fill in some gaps.   I'll send you a private message with my email address
best wishes Alison

Have just found your messages re Haynes of King Sutton. I am on rootschat for the first time.  I am descended from Thomas Heynes Born Abt 1560, died 1628. and Mary Pargiter who died 1633.
As you probably know the name was spelt in several different ways before it became either Haynes or Haines.  I recognise many of the names that you and "sue" mention.
I would love to exchange information with you.  I have been researching the family for many years.

Just wondering if you have them in your tree. Thanks

Hello Sue & merry (almost) Christmas

Yes I think I can help you here .  I think the Hinton in the Hedges link is purely where Richard married Mary Parker.  This is a KS family from way back.

Richard who marries Mary is , I'm almost certain  b. 1697 Kings Sutton son of a Richard and Mary(name unknown again!) .  This older  Richard is the son of John Haynes & Milicent Donty born 1667 in KS.

I will send you transcripts I've made (not very expertly)  of Richard 1667 and his father John's wills..
Thanks to Patrick Haynes (see his earlier post)  I can now take this family back a few generations further to the 1550's

I'm afraid I have nothing more about your Richard after he  marries Mary Parker
His uncle Henry and brother Solomon are, however distantly related to me.  They are a very complicated family aren't they!

I'll email you privately and if you can then give me your ordinary email address I'll send you the will transcripts and their tree as best as I can

nice to be able to help you for a change !

best wishes, Alison

Hello Ali, I am direct descendant to Richard Haines (Haynes) from Aynho, Northamptonshire.  He is my 7th Great Grandfather.  I'm trying to find out more of his Parents.  I've been given the name of John Richard Hayne and Elizabeth Stanford as Richard's parents.  Shows he was married to Margaret, maiden name unknown.
I've done a lot of research on the Haines Family Tree.  But can't seem to get further than Richard.  Richard and his family left Aynho in 1682 when he died at Sea on his way to America.  His wife Margaret and children with the exception of his oldest son, John, came to New Jersey.  John was already in America.
I would like to find out if you have any information on the Haines/Hayne family from Northamptonshire or any part of this area.  I would be happy to exchange any information that I have.
Thank you, Elaine

Hi Elaine,
I've read of this Richard and always wondered how he fits in with my Haynes.  I'm certain he must because mine were Quakers too from the same area  with Richard and John their preferred Christian name choices.

John Richard H. and Elizabeth nee Stanford don't ring any bells however.  I'll  do a bit of looking  and make a "short list" of Richard's born around that time I've discovered .  Meanwhile I''ll send you a personal message with my home email
best wishes
Alison
