'Billey and Jinney maker'

Does anybody know what a Billey and Jinney maker was?  I assume it has something to do with machinery for the woollen industry?

I've come across this job description in the 1861 census.  In later years, this chap was a Millwright and then a Stockwright.

This site might help. ?I know carding machines in textiles were nicknamed  Slubbing billies
and spinning frames , Spinning jennys  so this could have been there occupations.

Many thanks for all the useful links.  I can spend many happy hours looking up all my ancestors occupations now!

The link to the Armley museum is particularly interesting as that is the area in which my chap lived and worked.  I think a visit to the museum is definitely called for.
