1851 census..born...where?

This particular Charles Barnett is recorded as died in
Not, Graz-Umgebung, Styria, Austria in 1868. Agr 63. What on earth took him there at that age?

Firstly..thank you ALL for you input and help.  I must admit that I was guessing at Fratton (nr Portsmouth) but Bishop Sutton & Long Sutton are certainly worth investigating - thanks so much.
I have no idea where he went to after the 1861 census...have never been able to find a death for him and by 1871 his wife & children were 'lodging' with another man in Croydon! I don't think he was born 'at sea' but someone must have told him the story of him having been born on the Apollo - I can only guess his dad was working on building the new one (1804)...but who knows! 
Died in Austria?  Where on earth did that come from, Hackstaple??  That's a new one on me, but nothing would surprise me about him!!  Thanks again to one and all - Dazey
