My name is Russell Black from Sydney Australia and I have an extensive history of Joshua Black (1801) and his decendants however have no further information on his parents John Black and Ann McCurdy. My email is: (*)

I do have a copy of Joshua Blacks Marriage Certificate from his marriage to Ann Taylor Brewster on 11 Jun 1842 if that is any help. Additionally I have an extensive knowledge of Joshua Black and his ancestry, but not beyond John Black/Ann McCurdy, maybe you can help. Thanks, my name is Russell Black and my email is: (*)

Do you know John Blacks (Mc Curdy) parents?
I have been searching for a William Black of Kildress,Co Tyrone who m'd a Margaret ?? c 1820 His children were Joseph 1822(my line) John 1823,Archibald 1830,Robert 1833 and Andrew 1839.
Did your John have a brother William? Agnetta.

 I'm stuck on William.Can't get any further.I just thought there might have been a connection between Your John and my William. They would both have been in the same time frame.I don't know if any of my Blacks,of that generation,went to Australia.Certainly none of my line,ie Joseph and his brothers.
If I come across anything that may be relevant,I'll be in touch.
There are so many Blacks in Co Tyrone,it's incredible.

Russell - I have a copy of the wedding certificate from Joshua's 2nd marriage to Janet - maybe we could swap copies?
