William PRESLAND B.1771 in Ware Herts

Hi

Could anyone help. William was born in 1771 in Ware and married to Elizabeth Camp B. 1776. He appears on the 1841 census but I cannot find any info on him prior to 1841. Can you help please. I have just joined rootsweb and it looks great!

William Preslan and Elizabeth Andrews at Ware St Marys on 21 December 1803.

Thank you for the info. I have tried to look for the marriage in 1803 on ancestry but cannot find it. Where did you find the info from? (Still a novice after 4 years LOL)

Hi Injection,

Just to enlarge on the info given by juniperus, the Ware St.Marys parish register records -  Wm.PRESLAN and Elizh ANDREWS both of this parish were married in this church by Banns this 21st day of Decr 1803 by me William Cross, Minister.
In the presence of Robt.WEBSTER and Sarah GRIGGS.
(Robert was the Parish clerk and signed the register whilst the other three made their mark (x).

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the info. I thought that William married Elizabeth Camp Born 1776, but it could be Elizabeth Andrews. I get ssooooooooooooo confused at times as there were lots of Preslands who had lots of children who were named William and George.  ,
The line I am looking at is Benjamin Presland born in Ware in 1890 Died in 1948 who married Edith May Wallace born in 1892  who lived in Ebing End Benington as a child. Benjamin and Edith are my paternal grandparents. Edith died in 1975. They had 9 children. Benjamins ancestors lived in Ware so its his side I am looking at. Edith's father was Peter Wallace born  at great Munden in 1868 in who died in 1903 at the age of 35. Do you think I will be able to find out where Peter Wallace is buried and also any info on his wife Mary Ann Wiles born in 1875 in Little Munden and died in 1925 at 12 Caroline Court Ware.
If there is any further info I would be grateful.

Also crane family mightbe of interest.  Reg was my grandad. He is buried in ware cemetery with his brother Peter ..mother Edith and father Benjamin presland.
