I am interested in David Morris and his wife Ann Morgans who married in St Issells in 1813 and had children David, Isaac, Elizabeth, Ann and James.

I have previously noted that William Morris was a widower and Anne Evans was a spinster when they married on 21/2/1826 at St Issells.  That Ann was 92yo and living with her daughter Elizabeth Allen in the 1891 census.

William Morris was buried on 12/12/1851 and was listed as 86yo of Stepaside.

That William Morris and Anne Evans children were -
1. William (1826 - )
2. Lewis (~1828 - >1891)
3. John (1828 - >1861)
4. Mary (~1832 - >1853)
5. Elizabeth (~1834 - >1891)
6. Martha (1834 - )
7. Thomas (~1837 - >1857)
8. George (~1840 - 1921)
9. William (~1853 - >1861)

I would be interested if you have found anything on the family I am interested in.  Louis

Hi Louis

Welcome to rootschat  :)

Thank you for responding to my post, yes the children you have in my Morris family are correct except for Lewis Morris who I believe was the son of Richard and Elizabeth and William who was the son of Mary. Mary is my direct line and she died in Kent in 1888.

Unfortunately I do not have any other Morris information for this area, too common a name I am afraid.  I have however just established that the Thomas who I was looking for on this post was widowed prior to the 1861 census and subsequently remarried Catherine Phillips.

It might be worth putting your Morris queries on rootschat they are really helpful and friendly  :)

Thank you to everyone who helped me on this post - I have now found Thomas on census.  He remarried Catherine Phillips in 1859 following the death of Margaret.  ;D
