Hi trying to trace a Brown family This one born sept 1844 at Skipton name Thompson Brown.Think he might had migrated to Tasmania Any help would be appreciated Rick

Parents John Brown and Jane Thompson, married 1st December 1838 St Mary's Church Kettlewell.
Full census details inc occupation etc.

Hi Rick

There are only two Thompson Browns listed in the Skipton area around that time.  The one that Calverley found who lived in Kettlewell and one born 1859 who lived in Glusburn.  Both villages were within the parish of Skipton.  Have you any further details to help us help you?

This suggests the Tasmanian Thompson Brown was from Ireland:

The Kettlewell Thompson seems a strong candidate for the 1844 birth. How do you know that one is yours?

Looking further into Thompson Brown, he had a son and called him Thompson.
Both died in the area.

Hi Have no idea but found one Thompson Brown born 1844 There are no records that I can a birth in Australia for this person who is my great great grandfather. Thanks for all your help. I will search somewhere else Thanks again Rick
