Ann nee Brown died in 1862 and Samuel remarried between 1862 and 1871 but I haven't found a marriage to a Margaret yet.
In 1881 he too was a landlord

The Mary Lloyd that married a Share is not my Mary Lloyd as she married John Price and then Thomas Hyde - I do have a DNA Lloyd link with people who are related to this Mary via the Price link.

There are lots of Lloyd DNA links for this family on DNA sites.

Pennsylvania is a mining area and they would have needed miners from abroad to keep up with the industrial revolution in UK. It may not have worked out so they came back. When Sarah went is difficult to say but if young enough she could think that's where she was born - or just trying to give herself a interesting birth.

I have Samuel as son of Joseph (1788-1832) and Nancy nee Whitehouse re the marriage to Ann BROWN gives his father as Joseph.
Joseph and Nancy had 8 children

The other SAMUEL's parents were Samuel (1806-1869)and Rachel Mason, his father was son of Samuel (1777-1854)and Juliet Whitehouse
Its amazing how often the Whitehouse and Share families intertwine.
Nancy,Juliet and Sarah were sisters

alancfradgley you are so lucky to be able to remember them so well. It must have been wonderful hearing Sarah's stories. How amazing to make all those long sea crossings it makes us humble when we think how much easier it is to travel these days. Now are you saying the date of birth on the  baptism is wrong for Sarah?  If this Sarah was born overseas it would nicely explain the delay in her baptism wouldn't it? Do you think the clerk got her date of birth wrong? The information for her siblings Joseph and SAMUEL is spot on.

In  1861 RG 9/2058 fo10 p14
Sarah Share    6
Joseph Share    3

and 1871 RG10/3013 fo 75 p18
Joseph      Son      13

which match the baptism information  for Sarah and Joseph

Sarah SHARE
 Birth:       17 AUG 1854
Christening:  08 FEB 1857      Saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester, England
 Father:    SAMUEL SHARE
 Mother:  ANN

Joseph SHARE
 Birth:      22 APR 1858
Christening:  13 JUN 1858      Saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester, England
 Father:    SAMUEL SHARE
 Mother:  ANN

Samuel SHARE
Birth:      27 NOV 1861
Christening:   06 APR 1862   St Thomas, Dudley, Worcester
Father:   SAMUEL SHARE
Mother:   ANN

I think this is Samuel's birth and death registrations both fit with the baptism information
    SHARE, SAMUEL        BROWN
GRO Reference: 1861  D Quarter in DUDLEY  Volume 06C  Page 141
    SHARE, SAMUEL        0
GRO Reference: 1862  J Quarter in DUDLEY  Volume 06C  Page 68

Do you think there is a mistake somewhere along the line?

Did Samuel (1831) marry Margaret in the USA after Ann had died and before 1871?

alancfradgley  I thought I'd follow up your lead re the 1939 register and found just as you said we would find
Sarah LLOYD is at 10 Low Town next to the Jolly Collier keeping a shop she is a widow born 17 Aug 1854 with her are Richard and Ann EVANS who I think was her daughter Ann LLOYD.
Further down the page at 19 Low Town is Samuel Taylor born 3 Mar 1875 with Nancy Taylor born 25 July 1875.
So far I can't find a connection to the Jolly Collier other than the shop is next door but I'll keep looking.
