Rettendon parish registers - Denny
« on: Monday 26 July 10 15:46 BST (UK) »
I'm a newcomer, so I hope I'm following the correct procedure! I'd be grateful if anyone who has access at any time to the Rettendon, Essex, parish registers would be kind enough to look up the burial of Alice Maud Mary Denny, who died on August 29, 1950, at Marks Farm, Battlesbridge. I believe she was buried in the churchyard at Rettendon. Her death was registered on August 30, 1950. Thank you.

Many thanks for that information, Diblet. I am most grateful to you. Would you know if a churchyard burial plan exists, and where one might find a copy?

As a newcomer, cautiously finding my way around, I am seriously impressed with RootsChat.

Best wishes from AF.

Hi AF

I'm glad I could help.

I don't have or know where a plan of the churchyard can be found but here's the address of the Rettendon All Saints Church Office;
Church Chase, Rettendon, Chelmsford, Essex. CM3 8DR.

I'm sure they'll be able to help you.

 :)

I'll try that route. Once again, my thanks. AF

I too am a newcomer to this website and am making this third post in order to enable the pm facility
The Denny legend and the bitterness was also talked about in my family.
Most of the Denny family were in service including one a footman at Windsor
