help - scotlands people searches

I've have 'credits' on scotlands peopleand my friend hasn't so i said i'd look for her relative - to use up my credits
no matter how hard i 'search' i cannot find the person she's
looking for
Isobella Holmes Cameron c1886 - aparently holmes cameron is the surname - i've tried all sorts of searches to find her with no joy
definately born scotland - possible edingburgh(although not sure)
any help appreciated

Try using wildcards and split up the surname

eg there are 6 Is*bella Cameron in Edinburgh City around that date
searching Midlothian returns  7

1 Is*bella Ho*mes in midlothian and 1 also listed in Edinburgh City (possibly the same one)

Sorry, forgot to say that if you tag the surnames together the search results come back as 0

although you probably knew that already

Having a few credits to burn myself I found

One only Cameron with given name of Holmes being
Patrick Holmes Cameron - born 1890 Greenock New or Middle, Renfrew
Looking at the * Isobellas as mentioned, there only appears to be one from the same district viz
1887 Isabella Neil Cameron

Have just spend another £12 on fruitless searching - would be great if i could look at bute for 1901 - the whole lot - as could find the adoptive parents - not found on normal search - think i may have to wait until the 1910 census is out as she was born 1911 - so adoptive/birth parent would've been somewhere in Scotland (even though birth parent born Scotland somewhere c 1886
Frustrating - don't mind paying for info - but resent paying for info before i can say if it is the person or not ! why can't it be like the English BMD/census info?! - free or pay when found!
