I've spent a while looking for Francis Dunn c1900 and have come up with an army pension record for Frank Dunn born 5th September 1900 in Collyhurst. Frank Dunn apparently joined the Corps of Signals in 1920, stating he was single, however the next of kin is "step father George Taylor address 175 Cheltenham St Collyhurst "  Another coincidence! Could this be Francis?
Frank's address on leaving the corps is 23 Crissy St Queens St Manchester.

Sorry if you have already found and discounted this gentleman but when I saw the address of Bernard's father it seemed worth mentioning.

Ive also spent a while looking for Francis Dunn. His marriage certificate shows his residence at the time of his marriage to my grandmother as 175 Cheltenham Street

My grandmothers marriage certificates show her residence at the time of both her marriages as 23 Crissey Street Rochdale Road. Married October 1919 Francis Dunn and November 1930 John (Jack) Tilley.
John Tilley was also residing at 23 Crissey Street in 1930.

So it looks like your Frank Dunn could be my Francis Dunn.

At last I should now be able to go forward, or back with Frank/Francis.

This makes the youngster only a visitor to 17 Charlestown road

Yes it is a paupers grave, they only inscription would be name, date of death and possible age.
