Looking for the parents of Reginald E corper born in Dec 1907  Warrambool Victoria, Australia

Any help would be greatful or pointing me in the right direction..

I know i have his death as Eton England. in 1962

i am looking for his parents - I have been told that maybe his dad is from derby Uk and arrived as a convict..

I am only just beginning to research Reginald's father Lionel Corper whi is the person listed in the 1881 census in Whitechapel.  Family lore says he went to South Africa and made a fortune trading diamonds with Barney Barnato and Solly Joel who financed Cecil Rhodes, but this may just be a story.  He seems to have married Helen Loiuse Pearce in Melbourne Australia in 1901 and had children there, Edward, Marie and Reginald.  They returned to London and had a middle class life in Cricklewood N London where he adopted the surname Corper-Mordaunt, was a journalist and then editor/publisher travelling almost every year to New York and Canada on business.  I would love to find out more about the Australian connectiion.
