Cemetery Lot "Remarks" Category Deciphering?
« on: Friday 23 July 10 13:23 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Recently someone in RAOGK was kind enough to show me this plot description for my ancestors. But I noticed it said these words in the description category under a female child who died when she was 4 days old and it has the quotes under it, so the 68 year old man was the same thing. But I can't quite tell what it says...

If anyone is able to decifer it, please let me know.

Thank you very much :)

It looks like 'Anon. Tomb' to me.
Were the names of the child and man known?

It looks as though there's a full stop after the second word, indicating it may be abbreviated, and is that first letter a C or a G?

No, both their names were known.

Thank everyone for their guesses so far.

Just a thought - could it be an abbreviation for "consumption" ie TB?

I am beginning to think like Tony that the first letter of the second word may be a G.

Is there any place nearby sounding like that these 2 people may have come from?
