Birth
« on: Wednesday 21 July 10 21:51 BST (UK) »
Hi I have hit a little problem with a birth date.
St Mathews church Gosport parish records, give the birth of Stanley Miller as the 6 June 1934. The birth certificate gives the birth as the 16 June 1934, which one is the right one.
Thankyou for any help.

Probably the only people who knew for sure were his parents.

It's possible that:

 The 1 was just omitted,
An error was made recording either the birth or the baptism
The birth certificate gives a later date because births had to be registered within a certain time,

Thankyou bearkat, I think it's one of those unsolvable mysteries. It's nice to have two birth days
