The CWGC site has all the dead of both world wars....The best place to start...
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

This is sad but for me it is connecting with those who gave their lives.
I will try when I get back. Thanks again

Apologies if I've restored the uniform incorrectly. I didn't have another photo of the jacket to go by so I went by whatever I could make out on the original photo. I could tweak the jacket to look more like the photos linked to above. It would have to be in a few days though. Unless you are happy with what you have already.
(I can't see any white stripes near his cuff though - no matter how much I stare)

Do what you can do and not what you cannot do. I do not want you spending any more time.

Hi All.
Joy do you know where or when Gerald died.
Also which records showed you the information about
where Gerald served or any other family info that may
help find him.

Sandy
do not worry about this. I will try and talk to family members when I am in the uk but they are all old so I do not count on memories. I will plod again the best I can

I thought we were going to be helpful here.
Not that I can compete with you on Military.
Maybe on our home County.
