FULLER dead-end. Woodton/Kirstead...where to find birth?
« on: Tuesday 20 July 10 23:00 BST (UK) »
I recently came across some new info to help with my family research. I had got back to a Philip Fuller who married Maria Riches Artis 1842. I then found Philip's birth [1816], and his parents: Henry Fuller and Ann [Nee Knights]. Philip was born in Woodton, some of his earlier siblings were born in Seething. I eventually managed to find the marriage in Kirstead, although Henry was listed as 'Fallow' rather than Fuller. It took me some time to find this marriage and I believe this is the correct one, although I now don't know which direction to go in. I have tried to find Henry's birth in some of the surrounding parishes, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Ive been thinking...and think this may be too early for Henry? In the 1841 census his age is listed as 60 (b.c1780], which i know cannot be entirely relied upon. There was a death which I believe may be his a few years after which lists him in his 70s, but I'm not sure he would have been born 1760? His first marriage was 1798..which would make him nearly fourty?

However I would be happy to receive details anyway, just in case,

1841 Census has Henry as age 60 as you say;
HO107/779/12/Woodton
Henry FULLER, 60, Ag lab
Charlotte, 35
Harriott, 15
Robert, 9
James, 7
Louisa, 2
All the Childrens Christenings are on FreeREG in Woodton to Henry and Charlotte.
2nd Marriage to Charlotte MUDD is there too, 14 October 1823. Henry is a Widower.

Possible Burials;
Henry FULLER, 13 September 1843, All Saints, Woodton, Norfolk, Age 76.
So born c 1767
Ann FULLER, 27 January 1819, All Saints, Woodton, Age 40, born c 1779

It is hit and miss with finding his Christening, another option from Familysearch Pilot;
24 May 1772, North Wootton, to GEORGE and SARAH

Hi Shannon
 If Henry was 60 in the 1841c i think you can say the Henry born 1760  would not be right one
Trish has come up with a birth date which is nearer but that is at Nth Wooton which is many ,many miles from Woodton . Nth Wooton is 3 miles nth of Kings Lynn and Woodton is 7 miles from Norwich .
 I will have another look to see if i can find anything else
