I was wondering if anyone has any information of the above company which was owned and ran by my Great Grandfather and his brothers. His name was Charles Bottomley INMAN b 1857. He died in 1916 in Tockwith nr Whetherby in a house called Craigdoon or Little Manor House. Any info on the family would be appreciated. Regards Trevor

Just sent you a PM, as I have been reading all about him, his company, his political career as well.
Happy reading

I've just discovered that a relative in Yorkshire was a "Currier For Mineral Waters" on the 1911 census.
Any link do you think? I've not had much luck googling the occupation!

Marc,
I don't know, Googling currier you get a process in the tanning industry don't you? There is this website, maybe you should contact the web designer and ask him?

Maybe it was a mis-print for carrier.
What was your relative's name maybe we can have a look at him and see how we can help.

Thanks for looking but I have just found out on the next census that he was a Mineral Worker! Not sure where Currier fits in though - its not mentioned on the other census.
Thanks

I don't know whether your secretive PM adds anything to the discussion

19th century British Newspapers from local libraries but available from other libraries online if you are not a member of s local library or are abroad. Nothing secretive just prefer to give details of how to make connection without whole web seeing.
