its a shame that the records of St Georges only begin at 1825 online for the OPC but it might be worth emailing them they may not be transcribed yet. x

oh that would be why then  ::) where would they have worshipped before then?

~~

we know that Richard was born in Tyldesley in 1792ish and that he was still there in 1818
in 1841 & 1851 he is in Blackburn and it looks as if he died there in 1853

a James Wallwork married in Blackburn (reg dis.)
 Q3 1842
WALLWORK    James    21   10

it s possible that this is Richards son

so i am looking for him in 1851 (i have noted some births also in Blackburn 1841-1851 with the same sort of names i.e. Margaret and Nancy hoping these will prove to be James children and finding them in 1851 may be easier ??? although there is also a death for Nancy and Margaret so maybe not, in fact the death for Margaret could be Margaret Richards wife, James mother)

other people on page with James wedding

BOARDMAN    Margaret
FIELDING    William
RIDING    Elizabeth
SEDDON    William
SHORROCK    John
SWINDLEHURST    Isabella
WALLWORK    James
WILKINSON    Nancy

Toni If you go onto Lancs. OPC and put Salford in there are loads of Wallworks at different churches.

Many of the early ones are weavers but there is this.
