Les St Georges PR's only start in 1825 cos that was when it was built pre St Georges people from Tydesley worshipped at Leigh or East Leigh which be came Astley

i dont know where Peel by Bolton is presumably its by Bolton good job thats not our William becausethat would mean he wasnt from tydesley and that he isnt related to Richard.

Hi Toni,
Yes we know that 1825 St George... but the library didn't.... see my post. I rang them.

They mentioned that Peel was very close to Tyldesley...

Good Morning Ladies    :D

I've just had a reply to my query from 'Museum of Wigan Life'   Seems they've come up with the same chap Lesanne found.

Baptisms: 7 Mar 1784 Peel Chapel, Little Hulton, Lancashire, England
William Walwork - Son of Thos. Walwork & Mary
    Abode: Tildesley
    Occupation: Hatter

And the burial Les found rules that out.    They want to know a little more, so I'll email them again.  First 30 minute search free, then £16 an hour thereafter!!!

It’s a shame there isn’t a rootschatter in Lancashire that can do these look ups for you for free.
I have a vague recollection  of Dotty doing specific look ups in that area

Toni, I've just sent an email to LFH requesting information........might be lucky, might not!!!

I might be able to ask somebody if they'd do a look up for me.   I still have family over there, but they're 'getting on' a bit and wouldn't know what they were looking for anyway!    ;D ;D

I've not had a lot of luck finding RCers who can look things up in Lancashire - still it's always worth asking  ;D
