George William CHURCH Victoria Australia

Hi Aileen,
There is only one George William CHURCH showing on Electoral rolls in VIC (although he could be listed as just George)
He disappears in 1919 and I noticed on PROV there is a will listed for George W CHURCH in 1922. ((PROBLEM is that for me,,,when I click to download it loads something completely different))

Maybe someone can check the 1922 death and you could try the will (and contact PROV if it isn't working for you either)

Death in 1922 doesn't appear to be one of their children:

His birth also proves that:

Hi Merlin,

 Did you happen to come across a SAmuel T Church in the list of ten children for George and Elizabeth Church that you found. I have nine of their children between 1872 and 1892..........Samuel T Church is on his mother's death certificate as the informant of her death  but I have never came across him before do you have his birth date.

Hi there Merlin,

 Thank you for that on Samuel T. Church. His  middle name Trancot comes from his mother's german background, that's their son for sure. Gembrook is one of the places where the family lived too......again thank you so much,  now just wish I could find his father's death.

I checked the divorces in VIC up to 1900 & nothing appears for them.

Searched the deaths also but I'll have another look again later.

Do you know when Elizabeth went to QLD before she married Mr Barr in 1900?

Hi Merlin,

 I don't know when she went to Queensland but her last child to George William Church was born in 1892 and she married Allan Barr in 1900 so I suppose that gives an  eight year time frame. Seems that the children went with her too as her daughter Ellen Ethel Church who is my husband's grandmother was married in Rockhampton in 1900 same year as her mother..........

Yes, saw that time frame that's why I looked for a divorce in VIC might have to try a see if there is one listed for NSW or QLD.

Have checked deaths again & nothing is showing to pin point him.

Do you have Elizabeth's marriage certificate to Allan in 1900 it should show if she was a widow or a divorcee.

Can't see a divorce in NSW or QLD either BUT I did find a divorce for one of their son's in NSW:

Hi Merlin,
I just found the same entry for Samuel Church too and he remarried again in 1922.
I don't have Elizabeth's marriage certificate never got around to getting.

I wonder if George William might have gone to Queensland too?
I can't access the Queensland BDM's from my home computer used to be able too but not anymore seems they closed it down to the free access, might have to go to the library and see what I can find.
I did look at the mirofich a while aga to but couldn't find him on that for Victoria.
