Hi,

Myself and my husband are also looking to trace our family history.  His grandmother's name was also Jane and had a brother called John.  His father's name was Patrick and we believe that Jane only had one son and was never married. We originally thought she was from Ferns but recently found out that it was Tara Hill and she later moved to Ferns.
Could this be the same lady.

I would love to hear from you.

Hi noctord
My grandmother Jane Noctor was born in 1899 and married Michael Whelan and moved to Dublin.

If you look at the census above 1901 and 1911 the Jane Noctor (my grandmother is one of the children).

Her brother John Noctor is also one of the children in the 1911 census and he was born in 1907/1908 the one that we do not know what happened to (we think during the war 1920's maybe 30's)

My great grandmother listed above in census as Jane Noctor (married to John Noctor) her maiden name was Quinn

I do not think there is a connection sorry!!!

Yes I have Noctor descendants from Tara Hill.  Currently researching my G-Great -Grandfather Andrew Noctor's brothers and sisters.  Apparently they had 20 children? We have a good nine or more. They lived on or around Tara Hill.  Their birth dates span from 1860 - 1880.  I'm still searching for the other ten say. Have lots of gaps to fill  :)
Andrews father was James Noctor1837 (m) Sarah Penston.
