All I have been able to find of Thomas is something in the Australian archives that there was a letter waiting for him in Australia and then later he was involved in a Chancery case in England. And in 1877 they divorced (there is Rosa's petition for protection of earnings and property in the National Archives), and Rosa remarried. I wonder if there is a record of the divorce proceedings somewhere - perhaps that would tell me something about Thomas.
I just found the Charlotte Handy and Thomas Peter Hart marriage in Pallots - it says Devizes which makes sense (not sure where Hampshire came from)
