Hello,
Have just read your posts, I was in Carlingford just over a year ago and was given the link to a lovely website that has lots of old photos and memories of Carlingford and the immediate area.   Found pictures of my Fearon family on there.
So you may be lucky and find something relevant.

Here's the link   http://carlingfordpeople.ie/index.html

Cheers

Jan

Hello ! David Leathem he was born in Dec 1887 was my Grandfather... his Daughter Ann ( Leathem) Costello was my mother.  Their 3  children  were Ann, Francis and John and were all brought up in Omeath, Co Louth. Francis (Leathem) married Barney Rafferty in Armagh. John Leathem went to live in UK and married twice there. Do revert to me and we can exchange a lot of information :)

Hi Wendy,

Hi Wendy, Nice to hear back from you so swiftly. We do know a little about my mother (Ann Leather Costello) side of the family... so here goes;  David Leathem married one of the Hardy's from Omeath, but I do not know her maiden name. Her (daughter I think) was Ursula Hardy and there were other children but I do not know which was which, but one was called Joe Hardy. He then married and moved down to Dublin and had 3 sons (Paddy, Joe, Patricia and a third son Gerry, who was sadly killed in his 20's..

Hope this helps to start with! (We have to post 3 messages here, before direct email I understand)

Regards, Dee

hello Dee, lovely to hear back from you so quickly too. I am  :) afraid I don't know very much about the Hardy side of the family. All I can tell you is that your grandparents married on 4th Oct 1912 in St Brigid church Belfast. Your grandmothers full name on certificate is Mary Elizabeth hardy. I have not used this site much so not too sure how many messages we need till we can message private. may be we can give the next message a try. I have so many questions I would like to ask you ? Would be lovely to have a photo of your grandparents if you don't mind. Old photos are funny, my grandfather looks angry, but I think that was his serious face. Have a great day wendy
