Downs village, Glen of the Downs

I am searching for any information regarding the Downs village in the area of Willow Grove, Kilpedder and Delgany. I'm especially interested in old photographs but any info would be of great benefit. I have already researched through the 1911 and 1901 Census.

Hi Wicklowman,

There is a beautiful book by Derek Paine - Pictorial History of Kilcoole, Newcastle, Newtownmountkennedy, Glen O' the Downs and Delgany 1860-1985.

As far as I'm aware, this book is out of print! The copy I'm lucky enough to have access to was purchased in Greystones some years ago. The local book shop in Greystones didn't stock it up to a few months ago. Perhaps you could try the library in Greystones and see if they can help.
