Sorry for the slow reply

David P is about to retire, in fact tomorrow is has last day. He will be missed.

The new program has changed and we don't like it as much, the main problem is flame the production firm dont put as much resource into it, we used to have film crews with all our guys on the road and 2 crews in the office now they just have 1 in the office. This means there are working more "b" stories

"A" stories used to be live cases and we only don by F&F they contain a lot more research. However the are expensive as lots of stories get wasted as the heirs don't agree to be filmed or the struggle to pick up the story. Flame also have to put a lot more effort into it to get the guys on the road and in the office.

"B" stories are retro stories, they are solved cases and contain little or no research and rely on the social story behind the heir finding bit.

F&F like "A" stories but they take a lot of work and when flame follow other firms they just dont catch the interesting bit in the office.

we would love to do more live cases and have some proper research shown but at the moment it looks like the production is heading the other way and that may mean that we drop out of HH.

only 1 of the appeals has ever lead to a case being solved and that was on series 2.

I have asked them to restructure the appeals and use real cases where the research is stuck, however this gives the problem of who to give the lead to.

This years appeals were just take from the BV case list, F&F could have added so much more such as the value or the reason that the case wasn't solved (most were because they were of tiny value) but the BBC dont allow us to.

Oh dear....

Wont want to watch if its not F & F :(

will miss the faces .....

I do enjoy some of the other firms, but I HATE WAFFLE..... too much of it going on and repeating and repeating...  NITTY GRITTY - facts -- Chase - search -  etc .... Seek and find is what I like.. I love the history side of the people, but also don't need to see how great uncle Fred went to work in the snow to achieve what he did. (in so much detail) just a rough outline maybe.... if you understand me. I am picky and I know that sounds contradictory... but I know what I mean :) :) :)

The firm I like best is Celtic research, they travel to Ireland to follow up Church records.
The younger man uses public transport all the time.
They also work on cases of foreign nationals.
The surname changes must cause them a lot of frustration.

I wish David Pacifico of Fraser & Fraser, a long healthy and happy retirement.

I love Heir Hunters - but please please please could the background music - (particularly the pianist ...) be toned down a bit.  Like a lot of programmes of late the background music is too intrusive.

Best wishes to David Pacifico on his retirement.   My hubby, a non-gene person, watches the programme especially to see David chew on his specs whilst studying the papework!!

Good luck to David Pacifico he always came across to me as a character you'd liked to have worked with.
