It must have been awful for man of 33 years to find out that he was adopted.
I cannot remember his name but he was the one who lived over pub as a child.
His house and garden were full of scrap when he passed away. Loads of dinky toys !
His parents were wrong, to delay so long before telling him.
Formal Adoption was relatively new, so perhaps the parents were misguided.
I know a few people who were adopted, their parents told them, when they were very young,
Basic details before they started primary school.
As they reached teenage years, they were given more info.
When they reached 18 they were allowed to see their adoption papers.
