Looking for information on the McGaley family, Catel, Guernsey. Charles married Judith Le Get, they had two children, John Edwin, born 1 October 1867 and Amy born 1866. I have checked the C.I. census and can only find information on Amy in 1881.It seems strange that they cannot be found in the 1841 census onward.
In the Ancestry.com census for 1881 Amy doesn't show up at all, yet Family Search shows her there!

Amy does not show up because there is a gap between Mc and   Galey

I found her putting Amy 1866 born Guernsey

Many thanks for all the information. I did do some searching with the Mc and G separated, its odd, there are times when you know the information should be there but it doesn't show up.!
