Hi nznanniet

There will be those who will try to help, but  you will need to give more information..

There will be more than one MARGARET RIORDAN coming to Australia no doubt.

Perhaps a look here will help you to get the best out of your request  :D

Hello  there and welcome to roots chat

Does her death certificate say how long she was in the colonies for?

where and when did she die?

This is the only 1857 marriage for a Margaret RIORDAN but the marriage index does not detail the place of birth or marriage so you obviously have other information.  Is this your ancestor's marriage?

RIORDAN Margaret
STEARNE Daniel
1857  Reg#2998

The death registration for this Margaret in 1915 shows a birth of  c1840 so may not be your ancestor.  However there are numerous births to this couple at Warrnambool with the surname STEARN.

A little more info from your other post

I have a Margaret Riordan born in Inchegeelagh in 1833 with brothers Dennis and Daniel.  Her parents were Daniel Riordan and Margaret Manning.

Lots of questions from us ;D

Cheers

However I can't see any passenger records for Margaret and that is the request ;D

I guess these two sites have been searched.

Jenn's query for time in Vic from the death cert would certainly help?

This could be her

REARDON Margaret  Born c1833   21 years
Arrival date 14 Dec 1854      Arrived Portland, Australia
Departure Port  Plymouth on the VIOLET
Nationality Irish and Scottish

http://proarchives.imagineering.com.au/index_search.asp?searchid=24
REARDAN Margaret  21years   Arrived Dec 1854   VIOLET   10/427

Now you need someone to do a lookup as there may be more info as she was an assisted immigrant.  Hopefully it is her.
