Can Someone Date this for Me Please

Hoping someone can date this for me.... I hope this isn't a case of dressing in period costume just for the picture.

Hi Gary - I'd hazard a guess at c.1890 - but would be very interested to see what more knowledgeable folk think too.  Thanks, Dazey  (PS.  what a lovely photo!)

Not period costume but the height of fashion early 1890's.The lady has an early Gigot sleeve first seen 1893.So 1893-4 I would say.For dating it's best to scan in colour & show the back,other than that it's a nice big scan & I'm sure a few on here would like to repair/colour it for you if you wish,just change the heading to reflect this.

Thankyou both so kindly Jim and Dazey.......this helps me a lot in my research.
Unfortunately I dont have the original for doing another scan.......but I'm not that unhappy with the picture in it's current form.
Would any one like to guess the colour of her hair?
