Ticker,

No luck so far with the Woodhouse side, but still have plenty of other ancestors to keep me going.

Some you win--and others take a little longer to crack!

Regards,

Spingo

Hello Spingo

Had a look at Lepton and have a Charles Woodhouse Hand Loom Weaver b. 1812 and wife Maria, they lived at Square Fold and had a daughter Elizabeth born about 1848. Can be traced 51, 61 and 71 Census. All born in Lepton.
Also the 1841 notes an Elizabeth Ann born 1838 in the house of Charles Milnes b. 1797 Weaver and Mary Milnes b. 1807
If the above are of interest I could fill in the detail.
Where did you pick up Charles the farmer and daughter Elizabeth I am curious.

Regards Oly

Hi Oly,

Thanks for your reply. My 3 times great grandmother Elizabeth Woodhouse married Thomas Howarth in 1856. Info from the marriage cert states that she was 21 (that would make a birth date c1835) and her father Charles as being a farmer. That is the  only info I have on the Woodhouse family! Interesting though, Elizabeths second daughter, born 1859, was named Maria. Is there any other children listed in the Woodhouse family you posted?

Hi

There is a William Woodhouse 75 farmer &  son Joseph, both born Midhope on the Bradfield 1851 census. There are also 2 other Woodhouse families on the same Bradfield census. If any good let me know and I will post details.
