She was brave and strong, no holds barred, tell it like it is. Well read and widely travelled with a love of literature and photography. A blogger ? Well why not? I don't think there was much that Indi couldn't do when she set her mind on it. She was a Wife , sister, mother and a grandmother. For those of us in roots it was her genealogical advice and silly chatter in the chatterbox that will come to mind. For me it was all the many times she helped me and my family over the years.
There is a poem which I think sums up what our Indi would have wanted at this time.

                Remember Me
Remember me with smiles and laughter
for that is how I will remember you all.
If you can only remember me with tears,
then don't remember me at all

I think I will remember Indi best as she would say good night to us all in the chatroom.
"I'm off to water the dessert and toss some roadkill on the barbie while Mme and Mr. Indi enjoy a cold on before the sun goes down. "
Oh how she could make us laugh

Good bye my friend. Rest in peace with you soulmate once again.
Heather xoxo

That's lovely.   It was Indi's sense of fun, even when she herself was battling cancer that made her such a special person.

Cry ... and you cry alone."

I'm not quite sure what to say...I was away yesterday and have come back to this awful and lachrymose news about Indi :(

I'll always remember how frequently people would ask how she was whenever she appeared in the chatroom, which became less frequent of late and her presence was always missed, for obvious reasons. She was such a strong lady and so heartbroken after John passed. She is truly what a role model should be. Such an inspiration and so kind to others.

R.I.P Indi. Goodnight and God Bless.

Awe, KarenM just told me the sad news that our Indi has joined her Mr. Indi...

I know we'll be getting an extra tap on the shoulder when we search for the Home Children...The search for them was always close to her heart. We'll miss you INDI! Say hello for us to the other rootschatters up there.

I am so very sorry to hear of the Indi's passing.  I met her on RootsChat in September of 2009.  We were second cousins once removed.  We exchanged many emails and enjoyed a few chats over the phone.  She was trying to locate "Alldridge" cousins.  She sent me information on my BHC Grandmother Ruth Rebecca Alldridge and her siblings.

I knew she was trying to go back to England for a visit with her sister and I thought she had finally got her passport in order to make the trip.  I called many times in June but only got her voice mail.  I then tried to locate her son and daughter an to my total shock, discovered her obituary.  I have been trying to get a hold of her son or daughter with no success.

If anyone can help me I would very much appreciate it.

Rest peacfully Pam,  Thanks for everything.
