Sad news indeed. We chatted a number of times over the past year in chatterbox and I read her blog about her husband's illness.

She was one fascinating and strong woman, who I am sure was a blessing to many through the incredible way in which she handled her husband's illness and shared what was happening at each stage until his death. This was all the more moving, considering she too had battled illness herself.

May she rest in peace.

Oh how sad. She was such a brave lady, and so proud to be a Brummie  :)

I knew she was planning a trip to England - I thought that that was why she hadn't been around for a while.

Sleep tight Indie, at peace now with your beloved John

It is with a heavy heart that I type as I am saddened by the news of the passing of Indie. I, like others, first came across Indie in the chatroom and when "chatting" to her it was with the ease that one can only find through friendship. I  say friendship because like many I never had the pleasure to meet Indie face to face but only through the ether and the keyboard but I feel like a long time close friend has passed.

Goodnight m'duck and may you find the peace that you so rightly deserve.

I still can't believe it ... why her son and daughter-in-law didn't get in touch with me, I'll never know.

I'll get in touch with her sister-in-law when her office opens in two hours and learn what I can.

I'm so very heartsick ... she was a lovely woman and a very dear friend, but she and John are together again.

I love you and I'll miss you, indi

I just don't know what to say, I can't believe it.  She will be truly missed.

I loved to talk to her in the chatroom about her beloved B'ham and all the stories she would tell.

RIP Indi

Thanks for letting us know Lydart; I wondered if she was still visiting her family.   We had a tentative plan for a mini-meet in Dorset.   :'(  :'(

I hope she is at peace with her beloved John.

Bye Indie.......
