Hi Sally,

I've had a go at filling in most of the blanks, some with a little guesswork as they are partly hidden by the curl of the page, but there are one or two bits I'm not sure about.

There are several abbreviations in the script, eg: wth = "with"

In the name of God Amen the 13th day of June Anno Domini
1709 I John Newborn of Haxey in the County of Lincoln Weaver
being of PERFECT memory & remembrance PRAISED be God, doe make
& ORDAIN THIS my last Will & Testament, in MANNER & form following VIZ IMPRIMIS
I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker
PRAYING THAT through the MERITORIOUS Death & Passion of Jesus Christ my only
SAVIOUR & redeemer, TO RECEIVE free don & forgiveness of all my SINNS
for my body, to be buried in Christian burial ATT THE DISCRETION of my
EXECUTRIX HEREINAFTER NOMINATED Item I give unto Sirath Newborn
youngest son One Message or Tenement WITH THE APPURTENANCES in Haxey

No doubt someone else will corrrect the mistakes  ;)

The first word looks like "between", but I can't make out any of the others and I think there may be some short words completely out of sight.   :(

Perhaps it's Sirach Newborn?   There's a male name, Sirach, mentioned in the King James bible, and ww.familysearch.org gives a Sirach son of John Newborne christened in Haxey 13 September 1693.

Maybe the end of the first line may read 'ye sd', i.e. 'the said'..Newborn?

During my research for my adopted sister I have come across some Tankersleys in Lincoln.  I wonder if there is a connection here.  I dont have many details as I working back from Australia/New Zealand back to UK and havnt got very far yet.
