She signed it 6 Dec 1796, so could have died not long after that. Will go back a bit further in the burials.

No sign of her from 1796 to 1800, but I did find the grandson William born 1796, buried in 1798 that I had not found before.

Hi

So you might expect her to be in St Sepulchre parish until at least 1798. Have you any information on where her children were living around 1798-1801?

Regards

There were two surviving sons, John Bains Comfort REMINGTON born 1770 and Thomas born 1776. They were both in the St Sepulchre area. JBC was a butcher, carrying on his fathers business. Not sure what Thomas did.

Hi

Then everything says she should be in the St Sepulchre register. If there were BTs I would advise checking against them. Really all there is to go on is her age at burial. Have you got a traditional naming pattern amongst the children? Anything in their lives which may make a connection with their mother's family?

There were four sons, John, Thomas, William and then a second Thomas because the first one died. There were no Thomas REMINGTONs before that so it is possible her father was a Thomas. Will have a dig around.

I to have started with the Remington's again after a loooong pause due to life happenings. My great grand mother was Ada Rebecca Remington 1850 - 1925 ( Tasmania ) daughter of George Remington 1826-1854 and Emma Malkin 1824-1851. I have found Ada coming to Tassie with her Uncle George Malkin as his daughter. I had come across John Comfort Remington before I was forced to stop my research. I am very interested in the wills you mentioned. would you mind letting me know where I can find them. Ann from Tassie
