Hello..I'm a newbie(and from Belfast)
I'm just saying hello for now 'cos I've just found this forum, and you seem like a friendly/helpful bunch. I haven't read too many posts yet, but once I've familiarised myself with the forum etc, no doubt I'll be back again with lots more questions.
I'm researching my dad's side of the family - BARCLAY from Meigh aka Killeavy in Forkhill.
My grand mother and grand father,(Thomas and Edith Barclay)my great grand mother and great grand father (Jonathan and Alice/Alecia Barclay) and my great great grandmother (Elizabeth Barclay) are all buried in the (part ruined) Church of Ireland in Meigh
I think I must have some distant relations still living in the area who are descendants of my great aunt Elizabeth (Betty) Anne Barclay who married Hugh (?) Campbell,so if any of their family happen to read I'd love to hear from you.
I'm also keen to contact Chris H_ who was looking into the family tree a few years back because his Grand mother Hazel is my great aunt.
I'm really interested to hear any suggestions you might have about family tree research because it is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack.
I've found great stuff on the 1901/1911 census,I've been to the PRONI...but think I was way to premature visiting ...there is just so much info and I need to be a bit more focused before I go back again.I've also left a telephone message with a minister who should be able to give me a better understanding of what the saying ''in local custody'' actually means.
If you've read this far...Thank you

and if you think you might be related I'd love to hear from you.
