Thomas was buried 11 Nov 1835 aged 49 and Elizabeth 19 Feb 1851 aged 65.

Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Hi Rose
I may have found the parents of Thomas if the ages are correct
I found the Christening of a Thomas Waite 31st August 1790
at St Peter and St Paul Church, Skendleby, Lincs. Parents
Thomas and Leitia Waite. They also had 2 more children around
the same time called Sussana and Mary. Dont know if you know of
any other of the siblings names?
I found only 2 Eliz BenneTTs .
One was baptised 16th June 1783 and her parents were William
and Rose. The other one was earlier 27th Jan 1777 her Dad was William also but no Mum mentioned.
I also found the wedding of Thomas and Elizabeth as you mentioned
in 1810 but his name is spelt WAIT with no e on the end. It does make
it harder doing the searching when they keep spelling the names differently
lol.
Hope this of help for you

Hi Sandy,

The other information I have about Thomas and Elizabeth is as follows:

WAITE, Thomas
b. 1786
d. 11 Nov 1835
m. Bennet, Elizabeth
26 Mar 1810
Fulbeck, Lincolnshire, England
d. 19 Feb 1851

(Perhaps WAITE is without an E - a friend passed the marriage deatils onto me, so I'm not sure where he got them from)

BENNET, Elizabeth
b. 1786
d. 19 Feb 1851

Children - William, Thomas, Sarah, Elizabeth, John, George and Isabella (my direct ancestor).

Unfortunately, I don't have the names of either Thomas or Elizabeth's siblings, so I'm unable to confirm the links based on that.

With regards to the Christening and Baptisms - what would be a safe distance of time between birth and Christening to assume the link is correct???

Thanks for your help so far,
Rose-Twig  :)

Hi Rose
You ask how long before a Christening - well - lol - it could be anytime.  I would imagine it was based on how much money they had or if they were over religious?  I am sure you had to pay a few pence in those days for Church services and maybe they didnt do the blessing when they were babes in arms? Only surmising here but one thing I noticed about the years of the DOB, they are covered by the 5 years that the census had to cover ages as alot of people didnt know the dates etc so when they started doing the census they could go 5 years either way to cover ages. People were uneducated and couldnt read or write so the 5 years does cover both your relatives and the christenings I have found.
Maybe someone else reading this might help further but I would think this could be agood chance they are your relatives.
