Houston Family
« on: Monday 28 June 10 21:08 BST (UK) »
I am looking for information on William Houston (1870-1951) who was listed on census's as a musician he was married to Isabella Carney,
i think they had 4 children, Jemima (1905) Margaret Ann (1889) Thomas (1895) and Jane (1898)

I think his father was Arthur Houston(1841) who was born in co. down Ireland  who on the 1871 census was in Whitehaven and his occupation was a "served muslin designer" , does anybody know what this would involve??

any help or pointers would be very helpful
thanks
