Cunninghams in Castlecomer
« on: Monday 28 June 10 21:02 BST (UK) »
Anyone got links to this family?

My great grandfather Brian was born there in 1860.

He ended off living in England, working in the coalmines.

Let me know if your ancestors share the same surname, or if you have any info about Castlecomer.

Best wishes,
Jill

Hi Jill

I am very new, in fact joined today, I am not sure if you are the person in the past who mentioned James Gow Brown born in 1903 I have a James Gow Brown who was my cousin's dad but did not marry his Mum. Would you please be so kind to tell me if your James G Brown spent some time in Hertfordshire and died in 1967.  Thank you Gillianne

Hello Gillianne!

Oh my goodness, yes!  James Gow was my granda, who we loved very, very much - he was a lovely man! My dad told me as much as he new about Granda Brown´s family. I would LOVE to hear about his other children.  My dad always wished he had got to know them.

We are just about to go out for the evening, I would rather stay in and write all I know, but will write more tomorrow.

Please stay in touch.
