Percy Unna - Pennyfuir cemetery/Oban
« on: Monday 28 June 10 17:42 BST (UK) »
Good evening,

We are French but we cannot go to Scotland for the moment...
We are very interested in the work of Percy Unna, a Scottish philanthropist born in 1878 and who died in 1950.... We have found on the internet he is buried in the cemetery of Pennyfuir but we don’t manage to find a photo of his tombstone.... is there someone who can you tell us if Percy Unna is really buried there ? Is there really a tombstone in the name of Percy Unna ? And if he is not in Pennyfuir cemetery, do you know where he is ? :-[

We have found your forum randomly and it would be very nice of you to reply us because we are truly interested in this man, his life and his ideas... thanks in advance.... =)

A. & H. - France

Hi
I am from Oban originally and in fact am going up to see my mum in July and will be visiting Pennyfuir as my dad and grandad are buried there.
If you can give me as much detail as possible I will try to find the grave and take a photo if I can.
Best wishes
Aileen

Edit: sorry I have just looked at the link provided above and see the death date is on there so that should make it easier to find.  Let me know how to contact you once I have been up to let you know if I have had any luck!
