confusion Maccesfield or Chester
« on: Tuesday 22 June 10 21:07 BST (UK) »
I am confused about an address... in a previous post"address check Maccesfield"  a reader said that Parkside House was on Chester road Maccesfield.

On re checking  these post cards some are addressed as

!.  Parkside, Lack Lane, Chester... and some as

2.  Parkside House, Maccesfield, Cheshire.

Maccesfield and Cheshire are far apart...could the Chester as in#1 be the street, or two seperate places?

Both are addresses to the same person.

There was a Slack Lane in Macclesfield..and a Back Lane

Cheshire was officially the County of Chester so you can see how confusion might have arisen as to the postal address

The North West Lodge and North East Lodge were on Victoria Road. The South East Lodge was on Chester Road.
