Bunting - Derryadd

Hi,

Has anyone any info on Andrew Bunting (wife Ann?) who had children, William John, Margaret, Rebecca and Elizabeth and Sara Anne in the 1850's - 1860's. Rebecca married Thomas G McCann and died in 1943. Sarah married ? Hobbs?

Any help gratefully appreciated!

Hi,
    I have an Andrew Bunting married Jane Pickering on 17 Feb 1856 in Shankill Church of Ireland, Lurgan. The Igi lists three children:-
Rebecca 20 Dec 1865 married Thomas George McCann om 10 Apr 1887 Shankill C of I
Sarah     2 Jun 1869 Cannot find marriage
James    7 Apr 1874
    Emerald Ancestors also lists a George b 9 Nov 1871

Many thanks! I can nver get the hang of the IGI site. When I put in the fathers name and do a search for siblings it finds Rebecca and not the other two, but when I put Sarah nmae in, it lists Andrew and Jane as parents.

The site does list Sarah as Sarah Jane though (we have her as Sarah Anne). No marriages though for her or her other "known" sisters.

IIRC, births before 1864 will not be shown? (is that right)

Hi,
   When you use the IGI just enter the parents names in the appropiate boxes and British Isles as location, this will give all the children which have been recorded. I do not recognise IIRG but it may be that Civil registration of births in Ireland only started in 1864.

Not much luck in tracking down the Rebecca's other siblings, but I have found out that Andrew had a brother Alexander and his father was Pierce Bunting.

I'll try IGI again...
