Thomas Bennett died Jan - Mar 1843 in Stoke if that's any help. :)
Thanks Samskin!  Sounds awful but deaths are so much neater than divorce!

On an unrelated note, I've just realised you're interested in researching Wolverscrofts. I've only recently discovered I'm possibly descended from Humphrey/Humfrey Wolverscroft. I've just got to confirm it really.

I also have two Warringtons in my family, both were from Staffordshire and Shropshire.

Ha!  I'm sure my eyesight has got much worse since I started researching!  All that squinting at old documents eh?  :) :)
