I may be with you burning the midnight candle as I have just found a will that maybe my gggg grandfathers ..... how difficult are they to read ?? ;)

On an unrelated note, I've just realised you're interested in researching Wolverscrofts. I've only recently discovered I'm possibly descended from Humphrey/Humfrey Wolverscroft. I've just got to confirm it really.

I also have two Warringtons in my family, both were from Staffordshire and Shropshire.

Ha!  I'm sure my eyesight has got much worse since I started researching!  All that squinting at old documents eh?  :) :)

Sam - I'm one of Humphreys!   If you want to talk Wolverscrofts/Warringtons then I'm more than happy.  Do you want to email me direct to talk more at some point?     It seems that almost all the several hundred Warringtons I've come across in the Staffordshire Moorlands all come from the same root family - similalry with the Wolverscrofts.
