BENNETT 1841/1851 lookup please

Is there SKS who would be kind enough to look up Grace BENNETT - born in March quarter 1840, Hanley (I think)
I'm hoping she'll magically appear in either the 1841 as a baby or even 1851 with a bit more additional info!!

I'd love to discover her parents/siblings!

There is a Grace Bennett aged 14 months in the 1841 census.

Hi
There is a Grace Bennett aged 10 months in 1841
Parents Thomas (stoker of Gas works)and Sarah both aged 30
Siblings are John 7, Sarah 6, Thomas 5, William 3
Plus Mary Martin aged 65 (independent) and Emma Webber 20 (independent)

They are living at the Gasworks in Stoke on Trent

I have just looked at the actual census report and the 10 months could be 16 months???

I will see if I can see her in 1851

p.s. Thomas snr, Sarah snr, John, Mary and Emma weren't born in that county

Ooooh... thanks very much to both of you for this.
Interesting that the older ones were out of county.  Grace ended up marrying in Kentish Town.
I'd be really interested in more family details if you can spot her in 1851 Cal if it's not too much trouble.

very bizarre in 1851

Grace is in London (I think)

The census says
John Massey 34 (born Nottingham)
Sarah Massey 37 (born Gloucestershire)
John Bennett son 17 (born Wapping)
Sarah Bennett daughter 16 (born Shelton Staffs)
William Bennett son 13 (born Shelton)
Grace Bennett daughter 11 (born Shelton)
Richard Bennett son 9 (born Shelton)
Frederick Massey son 5 (born Shelton)
Arthur Massey son 4 (born Shelton)
Charlotte Massey daughter 1 (born Lambeth)

So Thomas snr had died of they got divorced and sarah re married and moved to London I guess??

They were living at 21 Neptune Street Lambeth

I think the 1851 census explains why she was married in London .... did you know about the Masseys?? How exciting!

There must have been a connection with London pre 1841 with John being born in Wapping too .....

Oh and John Massey and John Bennett were Potters

Well, well, well... that is interesting isn't it!
Certainly begins to make sense of a Stoke lass ending up marrying in London.  Perhaps the first husband Thomas was originally from there given that their son John was born in Wapping, so maybe they started out there, moved north and then went back again (either before or after the second marriage)

No, I had no idea about the Masseys.  You're right...

Thomas Bennett died Jan - Mar 1843 in Stoke if that's any help. :)
