Herman did very well for himself in the end - Down Place - beautiful and a very affluent area.
I dont know how to search electoral rolls but will find out.
Do you know where Herman's father William was born and lived or tell me how to find out?

I have sent for the marriage certificate for Herman Davies and Eileen Goldberg.  We will see.......................................

I am most impressed - marriage details arrived today.
Eileen Goldberg's parents WERE Thomas Goldberg (dropped the Nicholas I assume), traveller and Annie Goldberg nee Gaynor.  So your information was correct.
