Mcgugans Inveraray

researching this line and seem to have  come to a grinding halt
I have Niel McGugan and Catherine McArthur. Niel's parents I believe are Duncan McGugan and Catherine McNicol but havibg diffficaulty confirming. having techy prob lems with Scotlands People of late...logins not happening! Does anyone have info on this line?

Have you not been able to confirm Neil's parents' names as yet? Certainly Duncan and Catherine McNicol (lots of different spellings for these) would make sense. These are the children showing to them on IGI:

1. MARY MCGUGAN Christening: 30 APR 1811 North Knapdale
2. ALEXANDER MCGUGAN Christening: 11 FEB 1813 North Knapdale
3. NIEL MCGUGAN Christening: 27 APR 1817 Inveraray And Glenaray
4. JOHN MCGUGAN Christening: 08 OCT 1819 Inveraray And Glenaray

There is another couple with the same names (mother's maiden name Campbell) having children at the same time in North Knapdale which will make it tricky on potential censuses ect.

thanks Monica...looks like it could be the one. I am having trouble with niel and catherine's parentage as not much imagination was used in naming the offspring I have two candidates for each side here
