Hi Stacia,

Thanks for the reply.

My connection is through my wife who's mother was a McQueen and it was Neil McQueen who came out on the Midlothian from Skye in 1837 married a Margaret Ross in 1874 at Dungog NSW.

Regards

Gerry

Thanks Gerry,
Margaret was Donald's sister, and if our records are correct she and Neil had 9 children,Christine, Alexander,  Flora, Archibald, William, Janet, Margaret, Graham & Donald.
Does this agree with your records?

Gerry & Stacia... have either of you purchased the relevant Scotland Census originals? Or are you relying on the transcripts? I'm not sure if they give any further information, as I don't have the originals either.
Stacia, I'm a descendant of Alexander's brother, John Ross, who married Flora Nicholson & immigrated to Victoria aboard the "New Zealander".
