missing marriage - UK/Australia/Malaya

I'm trying to trace a marriage between a British woman, Emily Wellington (born Flushing, Cornwall 1874), and an Australian, Christopher Plumbe (born Bendigo, Victoria c. 1858), who lived in Malaya for their early married life.  He died in 1911 after "18" years of marriage, and she was single in 1891, so guessing around 1893.  I can't find it in the British records - how can I find out if it was in Malaya or Australia, please?  Any help welcomed!

I don't have access to the 1911 census so this is just from general searches on the 1911 English census with the family in Wandsworth. Emily Caroline and Christopher show as having married in 1893 from that.

Only one child is showing for them on the general index b. 1903.

Plumbe - at 51 Clarenden Road, Putney on 15 October 1911, Christopher Plumbe late inspector of mines, Perak.

If you search for "C. Plumbe" on the Singapore newspaper site you'll also find something about his retirement in 1903 and the marriage of their daughter (listed as their only child).

Can you track the movements of Emily's family? Was her father William Harvey Wellington - there seems also to be a mention in 1901 (from the "Perak Pioneer") of Mr G. Moir engaged to Miss Nita Wellington, daughter of W. H. Wellington (wedding to take place Jan 5 1902 in Taipeng)

It seems likely that they did marry in Malaysia as Christopher and Emily's family were there, perhaps at All Saints Church, Taiping.

Agree Jorose, likely the marriage took place there given the references showing. Pity it doesn't immediately show on line.

The only other bits of information I could see were:

Possible entry into the UK on 19 December 1904 on the Miltiades for a Mr and Mrs Plumbe and infant.

A christening for a daughter, Eileen Margaret, on 8 Oct 1905 at St John the Divine, Kennington, Lambeth. Likely death entry for her in the 1st Qrt 1909 at Battle (2b/42).

Yes, Emily was the daughter of William Harvey Wellington who was Cornish and a schoolmaster in the 1881 census.  Nita was her surviving sister (mother Elizabeth and another sister died early) and George Moir later became a vet in Aberdeen, Scotland.  William had disappeared from the 1891 census while Emily was living in Windsor with an uncle and aunt.

I had no idea that they all moved to Malaya or that William became a miner but it does now seem likely that Emily and Christopher married in Malaya.  Their daughter Elsie was born on 8 November 1902 and her younger sister Eileen died of pneumonia at the age of three after they had retired to England.
